The flowers are very large as the students pretended to zoom in with a camera to get an up close look at each petal. Many of the flowers are touching the edges of the paper and extending beyond the boundaries.
First, the students drew a large, up close flower. They tried to touch the edges of the paper and were encouraged to "draw big". Next, they painted each flower using watercolor paints and focused on making realistic color choices. Finally, each flower was cut out and glued to a blue sky.
